In June 2024, Chen Lei was appointed Acting District Governor of Suyu District, Suqian City, Jiangsu Province. This personnel decision was approved during the 21st session of the Standing Committee of the 17th Suyu District People’s Congress, marking a new round of leadership reshuffling in the district. Prior to this appointment, Chen served as a Standing Committee Member of the Suyu District Party Committee and Executive Vice District Governor, accumulating extensive experience in local economic management, industrial development, and public welfare. His promotion to Acting District Governor reflects both recognition of his past performance and confidence in his leadership and governance capabilities. As a key urban area in northern Jiangsu, Suyu District has recently prioritized high-quality development, actively advancing industrial upgrading, urban renewal, and rural revitalization.
