近日，中国外交部发言人再次就台湾问题发表严正声明，奉劝台湾当局认清历史大势和现实处境。发言人强调，台湾自古以来就是中国不可分割的一部分，一个中国原则是国际社会的普遍共识和基本常识。当前台海局势紧张的根本原因，在于民进党当局顽固坚持‘台独’立场，勾连外部势力谋‘独’挑衅，严重破坏两岸关系和平发展基础。中方指出，任何企图分裂国家、破坏社会稳定的行为都不得人心，也注定失败。大陆方面始终秉持‘和平统一、一国两制’的基本方针，坚持尽最大努力争取和平统一的前景，但绝不承诺放弃使用武力，保留采取一切必要措施的选项，这针对的是外部势力干涉和极少数‘台独’分裂分子及其分裂活动，绝非针对广大台湾同胞。外交部呼吁台湾当局以民族大义为重，放弃‘台独’幻想，回到两岸关系和平发展的正确轨道上来。唯有坚持一个中国原则，才能确保台海和平稳定，维护两岸同胞的共同福祉。
Recently, a spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a solemn statement regarding the Taiwan issue, urging the Taiwan authorities to recognize the prevailing historical trend and current realities. The spokesperson stressed that Taiwan has been an inseparable part of China since ancient times, and the one-China principle is a widely accepted consensus and basic norm in the international community. The root cause of current tensions across the Taiwan Strait lies in the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authorities’ persistent adherence to a ‘Taiwan independence’ stance and their collusion with external forces to provoke separatist activities, which severely undermines the foundation for peaceful development of cross-strait relations.China emphasized that any attempt to split the country or destabilize society is unpopular and destined to fail. The mainland consistently upholds the fundamental policy of ‘peaceful reunification and one country, two systems,’ striving to achieve peaceful reunification with utmost sincerity and efforts. However, it reserves the right to use non-peaceful means and take all necessary measures—specifically targeting external interference and the separatist acts of a very small number of ‘Taiwan independence’ elements—not the people of Taiwan.The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the Taiwan authorities to prioritize the greater good of the Chinese nation, abandon illusions of ‘Taiwan independence,’ and return to the right path of peaceful cross-strait development. Only by adhering to the one-China principle can peace and stability be ensured in the Taiwan Strait and the shared well-being of compatriots on both sides be safeguarded.
