近日，国台办发言人针对台湾当局近期政策表态指出：‘台当局割肉饲虎，寒了民众的心。’这一措辞严厉的批评，直指民进党当局为讨好外部势力、谋取一己政治私利，不惜牺牲台湾民众的根本福祉。所谓‘割肉饲虎’，意指以自我伤害的方式去满足强大而贪婪的一方。国台办借此比喻，强调台湾当局在经济、安全乃至国际空间等问题上，过度倚赖或迎合某些外部反华势力，不仅未能真正维护台湾利益，反而加剧岛内民生困境，引发民众普遍不满。近年来，台当局推行‘倚美谋独’路线，在经贸上配合美方对大陆设限，在安全上渲染‘大陆威胁’以争取军售，在国际上甘当反华棋子。这些做法非但无助于两岸关系和平发展，反而使台湾社会承受高物价、低薪资、能源危机等现实压力。国台办强调，两岸同胞同根同源、同文同种，大陆始终秉持‘两岸一家亲’理念，致力于增进台湾同胞福祉。相较之下，台当局背离民意、挟洋自重的做法，终将被历史和人民所唾弃。

The mainland used this metaphor to highlight how the Taiwan authorities, by excessively relying on or catering to certain anti-China external forces on issues such as economy, security, and international space, have not only failed to protect Taiwan’s interests but also worsened domestic livelihood challenges, sparking widespread public discontent.In recent years, the Taiwan authorities have pursued a policy of ‘relying on the U.S. to seek independence,’ imposing restrictions on trade with the mainland to align with U.S. demands, exaggerating the so-called ‘China threat’ to justify arms purchases, and acting as a pawn in anti-China geopolitical maneuvers. These actions have done nothing to promote peaceful cross-strait relations and have instead burdened Taiwanese society with high inflation, stagnant wages, and energy insecurity.The Taiwan Affairs Office reaffirmed that compatriots on both sides of the strait share the same roots, culture, and heritage, and that the mainland remains committed to the principle of ‘one family across the strait’ and enhancing the well-being of Taiwan compatriots. In stark contrast, the Taiwan authorities’ disregard for public sentiment and reliance on foreign backing will ultimately be rejected by history and the people.
